Arturo Sanhueza justifies Diego Buonanotte's benching at Deportes Temuco. The talented midfielder was left on the bench in the match against Cobreloa and in the southern part of the country, Sanhueza's decision sparked discussion. Consequently, the coach was asked about the situation of the creative player.

“Diego, like all players who don't start, is ready. Diego has been a professional like all his teammates and is available for the team. Only 11 players can enter, we have made it clear to everyone who has to stay out that at some point due to rules or decisions, except for the two injured players, we have the entire squad available,” Sanhueza stated.

He also clarified what his team is looking for and why Buonanotte is currently a substitute. “Because we aim for a team with a lot of dynamism because we believe that at the beginning of matches, especially when forces are evenly matched since all teams are in good physical condition or fighting hard, there is often pressure, disorder. As the game progresses, it takes a path where one can become dominant with the ball and leads to having more space. Therefore, not only Diego but other players have had to wait for what we have sought in relation to what we want to give to that midfield, a lot of dynamism so that the ball moves quickly in midfield to be a team with many transitions, both defensively and offensively”.

Looking ahead to Sunday's clash at 8:30 p.m. against Deportes Iquique, Sanhueza avoided revealing any potential changes in the starting lineup: “I can't anticipate them because this is how we try to get an idea of what Iquique could do since not all players have the same characteristics.”
